Creative Arts Productions (CAP) offers a 3-week summer theatre camp for youth, open to St. Joseph and surrounding area students that have completed 3rd grade – 12th grades. Our summer camp is held annually in July. Students meet Monday – Friday, 8 am – 1:30 pm, *DAILY participation is required. Camp provides students with an opportunity to explore the world of theatre by introducing youth to the stage and providing experienced performers more stage time to hone their skills. Camp is limited to 50 participants, some speaking parts and ensemble singing. All participants receive over 80 hours of instruction from a professional staff, learning all facets of theatre including auditioning, character development, stage presence, acting, singing, dancing, set design, lighting, and more. No prior theatre experience is necessary, only enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. For many participants, CAP is their first experience with theatre. Live stage performances are held the last weekend of camp and take place at the Historic Missouri Theater. These performances are open to the community.

*Registration (ONLINE) opens on March 1st on the REGISTRATION tab.

Students are encouraged to think critically and make creative choices while continually stressing the importance of teamwork. In just a few short weeks students grow to become true performers. The program works as a catalyst to inspire creativity, a lifelong skill that can help your child innovate no matter what career they choose. It’s the ideal way to empower your child’s growth this summer!

Creative Arts Productions is an amazing way to give student the opportunity to study in a fun environment that will help expand their skills at every level.  To learn more, please feel free to contact us today.
