2024 Summer Theatre Camp – Lion King JR.

When: July 8 – July 28
Camp Dates: July 8 – 26
Performances: July 27 & 28

CAMP Details:

  • Participant Eligibility: Camp is open to students that have completed 3rd grade (as of 23-24 school year) and through the 12th grade

  • No previous experience required, just a willingness and excitement to learn

  • There are a select number of “roles” available. Those will be determined after auditions on the first day of camp. If a participant is not selected for a role they are still a vital part of the production!

  • 3-week camp + 2 performances

    • First 2 weeks held at Wyatt Park Christian Church (2623 Mitchell)

    • Last week held at Historic Missouri Theatre

  • Monday – Friday, 8 am – 1:30 pm (Daily attendance is expected)

  • Performance Dates (Held at Historic Missouri Theatre | 717 Edmond | St. Joseph, MO 64501): 

    • Saturday, July 27 @ 7:00 pm

    • Sunday, July 28 @ 2:00 pm

  • Camp has participant limit – get your registration in early (once registration is full, all others will be placed on a waiting list)

  • Tuition: $195

  • A non-refundable deposit of $25 is required to register your child (this will be deducted from the total tuition)

  • Tuition includes show t-shirt and over 85 hours of instruction from a professional staff

  • Load-In & Strike (set tear down) are mandatory

  • Jazz shoes and some makeup items – foundation, mascara, lipstick, etc. – are required (not furnished)                                                                                                                  Once jazz shoe color is determined that will be emailed

  • Parent Night/Orientation for parents and participants will be scheduled in June. This will be a time for the participants to receive materials for camp and will meet with staff to go over audition materials. Parents will meet with the board to discuss camp information.

  • If you are paying by Cash or Check, please email capstjoseph@gmail.com as soon as possible to complete your registration

  • If you are paying with a Credit Card, click on link BELOW.

Click the appropriate link below to pay Deposit Only or Pay in Full (a Processing Fee will be adding during check-out)

Pay Deposit ONLY ($25) + Processing Fee. (Remaining balance of $170 will be paid at Orientation)
