Creative Arts Productions is a non-profit agency, offering a high-quality theatre workshop for area children finishing grades 3-12. For 35 years, Creative Arts Productions has served students throughout Northwest Missouri. Our goal is to develop skills and appreciation for the performing arts through an educational, enjoyable, and exciting theatrical experience.
Dates of commitment: July 3rd (with scheduled meetings before) through performance dates of July 29-30th
Stage Manager:
Work as part of the creative artistic and workshop team to help create positive musical theater educational experience for youth. Assist director with workshop organization, staging and props. Organize crew for tech week and performances. Help organize load in and strike. Youth education, musical theater, and stage management experience preferred.
Choreographer:
Work as part of the creative artistic and workshop team to help create positive musical theater educational experience for youth. Create and teach choreography for production to students Education, musical theatre, and choreography experience preferred.
Educational Director:
Work as part of the creative artistic and workshop team to help create positive musical theater educational experience for youth. Help educate children in the field of theater through games and organized activities. Educational and stage experience preferred. Demonstrated interest in working with young people and positive attitude are required. Must be flexible and willing to assist with other production duties as needed.
Costumer:
Work with director to design and/or create quality costumes for production. Qualified candidates will be skilled in solving construction challenges unique to the field of theatre for young actors. Skills required to successfully fulfill the job requirements may include patternmaking, stitching, tailoring, millinery, puppetry, quick changes, and special effects. Design opportunities may be available to qualified candidates, but would depend on schedule and experience. Applicant should have strong management skills and be self-motivated.
